Description from the seller
Yamaha CA-2010
Integrated stereo amplifier (1977-80)
Product description:
The Yamaha CA-2010 amplifier is a masterpiece of 1970s audio engineering, featuring a robust build and top-quality materials. Housed in an elegant wooden cabinet with a cut-to-edge finish and a minimalist aesthetic, this amplifier retains a refined style even after four decades. With its 21 kg of wood, aluminum, and steel, the CA-2010 delivers exceptional sound performance thanks to 120 watts per channel and an extremely low total harmonic distortion of only 0.005%.
A distinctive feature of this model is its dual operating modes: Class A with 30 watts per channel for a more intimate and refined listening experience, and Class A/B delivering the full 120 watts per channel. The front panel hosts high-quality Alps controls mounted directly on the board, including tape loop, tone controls, filters, phono preamplifier MM/MC, selectable Class A operation, and level indicators for power and recording.
Particularly noteworthy is the longevity-oriented construction philosophy: every component is accessible and almost everything is repairable even after four decades, a significant advantage compared to modern equipment with integrated processors and miniaturized components.
Technical specifications:
Output power: 120 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)
Class A mode: 30 watts per channel
Frequency response: 5 Hz to 50 kHz
Total harmonic distortion: 0.005%
Damping factor: 45
Input sensitivity: 0.5 mV (MC), 2 mV (MM), 120 mV (line)
Signal-to-noise ratio: 71 dB (MC), 82 dB (MM), 100 dB (line)
Output: 120 mV (line), 1 V (Pre out)
Dimensions: 461 x 360 x 170 mm
