Description from the seller

Professional academic sculpture, entirely handmade by professional artisans. A piece from a museum plaster cast collection. The work has very ancient origins and is carried out by artists in the sculptural field, made with materials such as scagliola and Carrara marble powder.

Antinoo (circa 110-130 CE), a youth of extraordinary beauty from Bithynia, was the companion of Emperor Hadrian, with whom he formed a deep bond. He died tragically by drowning in the Nile, an event that led Hadrian to deify him, establish a cult in his honor and found the city of Antinopoli. Antinoo became a symbol of ideal beauty and immortality, celebrated through statues and monuments that depict him with divine features, uniting Greek, Roman and Egyptian influences.

The object will be packed by a company specialized in shipping. This ensures that the packaging will be carried out professionally and efficiently, ensuring maximum protection during transport.
