Magnificent Antique French Renaissance Style Carved Oak Dresser



​A truly exceptional and heavily carved antique dresser, displaying the rich, ornamental style of the French Renaissance revival. This piece is a spectacular centre piece for any dining room, library, or grand living space.

​19th century (a superb revival of the 16th-century style) in solid walnut, featuring a rich, deep patina with exceptionally detailed work throughout.

The ​Lions' heads (or grotesque masks) adorning the upper frieze and drawer pulls. Diamond-point (or pointe de diamante) geometric panelling on the lower doors. Rosettes and floral/geometric patterns on the upper doors and Caryatid or figure carvings flanking the centre panels.

The Cupboard has ​Acorn/Bun Feet providing a robust foundation.



​Very heavy, please keep this in mine for transport and placement.

Condition:

Excellent antique condition commensurate with age. Solid, sturdy, and ready for immediate use.

Any pre existing signs of furniture beetle marks from long ago - treated
