Description from the seller
Old and rare Pathé "Necessaire d'Entretien" set, to be used with Pathé Baby Film Projectors, made in France, in the 1920s. The set comes in the original box and contains 3 small oil tins, a brush and a scraper. The oil tin caps unscrew and have a dropper attached - see photos.
Pathé-Baby is an amateur cinema system intended for the general public, created by Charles Pathé and released in 1922. The system used a 9.5 mm wide film with central perforations and was the smallest format that existed at the time. The Pathé-Baby began as a small hand-cranked projector, capable of projecting small films conditioned in a metal cartridge, with capacity for less than a dozen meters of non-flammable film.
To sell and distribute the films produced in its studios, Pathé asked Continsouza to develop an economical, family-friendly, easy-to-use projector, in order to project very reduced versions of its films. In Christmas 1922, several thousand Pathé-Baby projectors were placed on the market.
Old cinema projectors work much better with lubrication, and this set is a great complement to any vintage cinema collection.
Please see the attached photos to verify the overall condition. The photos are part of the description.
