DAN Mask - Ivory Coast

A stunning rare African mask, handcrafted in the area between northern Liberia and the western part of the Ivory Coast.
It has a beautiful patina ranging from red to brown, with features imparted by age. The decoration is made of fabric (with natural signs of aging), natural-material rope, and shells at the lower part.
A stunning adornment, a rare piece for a classy setting.
There are some signs of aging on the upper part of the adornment and at the base. They have not been restored because, in our view, they are also part of the object's beauty and evidence of age. They are clearly visible in the photos; please look carefully.
