Designed by a team of young talents such as Gian Paolo Dallara and Paolo Stanzani, it owes its immortal line to the genius of Marcello Gandini for Bertone's bodywork.
Main Features
Engine: 3.9-liter V12 mounted transversely in a mid-mounted position, a revolutionary technical solution for the era.
Performance: It delivered 350 HP, allowing a claimed top speed of 280 km/h and 0-100 km/h in about 6.7 seconds.
Design: Famous for the iconic "eyelashes" on the retractable front headlights and for its height of only 105 cm.
Production: Between 1966 and 1969 only 275 units were produced.
Evolution and Value
The original P400 model was followed by the S (370 HP) and SV (385 HP) versions, the latter lacking the famous eyelashes on the headlights. Today, a Miura P400 is an extremely valuable collector's item: Classic.com's data indicate an average value of about 1.7 million dollars, with peaks exceeding 2.3 million for exceptionally well-preserved examples.
