Silver liberty-cap shilling, struck at Middelburg in 1726 under the mintmastership of Pieter Kappeyne.

Obverse:
A left-facing Dutch lion with a front-facing head, in its claws holding a spear on which the liberty cap rests. Legend: ♜ ITA RELINQVENDA UT ACCEPTA ("Thus one should leave it as it has been received").

Reverse:
Crowned provincial coat of arms of Zeeland with the year 17 – 26 on either side. Legend: ★ MON NOV ARGEN ORDINUM ZEELAND ("New silver coin of the States of Zeeland").

Catalogue: CNM 2.49.87
