A beautiful specimen of a tooth from the extinct giant shark Otodus megalodon (formerly Carcharocles megalodon). This fossil tooth is an impressive piece of natural history, originating from one of the world’s most renowned fossil sites.

Locality: Sukabumi, Indonesia
Geological period: Neogene, Miocene epoch
Condition: Natural, un-restored, as found.
Condition and notes:
The tooth is in a natural and unrestored state. No repairs or restorations have been carried out; it is a pure fossil as it was excavated from the ground. This shows the natural beauty and the raw power of this prehistoric predator.
