Description from the seller
La Trappe Oak Aged – Complete Early Vertical (Batch 1–46, Starting June 2010)
A rare opportunity to acquire an exceptional vertical of La Trappe Oak Aged beers, spanning from Batch 1 (blended June 2010) through Batch 46.
This collection represents the full early evolution of the Oak Aged series, beginning with its very first release and following its development across dozens of unique barrel expressions. Sets of this depth and continuity are seldom offered.
All bottles have been meticulously stored in a cool, dark cellar since release, ensuring optimal aging and preservation.
Each batch in the series has been aged in carefully selected barrels such as whisky, cognac, bourbon, and wine casks. This results in an extraordinary spectrum of profiles ranging from layered oak and vanilla to dried fruits, spice, tannins, and refined oxidative notes. The collection offers not just individual bottles, but a complete tasting journey through time, craftsmanship, and barrel influence.
Additional collector detail: the first 24 released batches (Batch 1–24) were issued without presentation tubes. From Batch 25 onward, the bottles were released with tubes. This is reflected in the set: the first row consists of batches 1–24 without tubes, followed by batches 25–46 with their original tubes.
Collection highlights:
Complete early vertical: Batch 1 (June 2010) through 46
Starting point of the series included (highly collectible)
Original presentation format preserved (early batches without tubes, later batches with tubes)
Cellar-aged under consistent, controlled conditions
Increasing scarcity of early batches, rarely available as a set
Ideal for investment, high-end tastings, or serious collectors
The overall condition of bottles and labels is excellent, consistent with careful long-term storage.
This is a collector-grade offering. Comparable sets are rarely brought to market in this completeness.
