Description from the seller
This high-quality Kambaba Jasper freeform captivates with its deep green, almost mystical color-play and striking black, swirling structures. The polished surface impressively highlights the natural grain and the organically flowing patterns that recall ancient fossils or the grain of old tree bark.
Kambaba Jasper is a rare rock type that does not belong to the classic jasper varieties but is an ancient fossil sedimentary rock formed from remnants of cyanobacteria mats (stromatolites). These fossils are over 3 billion years old and among the oldest life forms on Earth. The unique green-black structure of the stone is owed to its original biological composition and the iron- and silicon-containing compounds within. High-quality Kambaba Jasper specimens come mainly from Madagascar and South Africa.
This artfully cut freeform piece combines the depth of geological history with aesthetic elegance and is excellent as a collector’s item or decorative highlight. The calming, earth-connected color palette makes it a distinctive focal point that simultaneously exudes harmony and strength.
