19th Century Italian Cast Brass Chapel Oil Lamp, Later Electrified
Rare suspended oil lamp in cast brass, originally conceived for the private chapel of Villa Il Colombaio, Chianti Senese (Italy).
Provenance: From the private chapel of Villa Il Colombaio, formerly the private residence of Countess Isabella Bonucci Ugurgieri della Berardenga and her family. Acquired directly from the owner’s son in 2025. Provenance supported by a signed letter of attestation.
Dating to the 19th century, the lamp features a solid baluster-form body with three scrolling arms arranged in a triangular configuration.
Cast brass with original aged patina, preserved without restoration. Recently professionally rewired and fully functional.
Dimensions: Height 125 cm (49.2 in); Maximum diameter 45 cm (17.7 in).
Fitted with a 4-meter adjustable gold-colored cable. Recommended maximum voltage: 220 V.
A rare and authentic piece of Tuscan noble and devotional history, suitable for historic interiors or refined contemporary settings.
