Description from the seller
"Belles" by Hervé Lewis - 2000 - Weingarten - 192p - 34cm x 25cm - German - Hardcover with cloth dust jacket.
The book is in excellent condition with a sturdy binding; the cloth dust jacket shows minor signs of handling but is also in very good condition (see the attached photos).
When asked who he finds the most beautiful woman in the world, Hervé Lewis replies: "A stranger who does not yet know that she is beautiful." In all his encounters, driven by the same search for perfection and aesthetics, Hervé Lewis plays with light and shadow to best emphasize the curves and contours of the female body. His sensual and original photos are magical moments, captured in the intimacy of these women, who are alternately dreamlike, provocative, or enigmatic.
Hervé Lewis, born in 1954 in southern France, began his professional career in the sports world, where he made a name as a renowned trainer of numerous celebrities in the entertainment industry. His deep knowledge of the human body quickly developed into a passion for photography.
Self-taught, Hervé began photographing more than twenty years ago with a manual Nikon FM camera. Since then, his lens has captured the essence of countless women.
Hervé is particularly known for his iconic images for the Aubade lingerie campaign "Lessons of Seduction." His work has been included in several books, including New Erotic Photography by Taschen. In March 2009, his work was exhibited at Art Paris in the Grand Palais, expanding his artistic legacy further.
Hervé Lewis’s work draws on the photographs of, for example, Jean-François Jonvelle, Jeanloup Sieff, Patrick Demarchelier, and Ruslan Lobanov.
The book will be securely packaged and shipped with Track & Trace.”
