Description from the seller
GERMANY. Karlsruhe. 2 Mark. 1907. Frederick I (1856-1907)
- Value: 2 Mark.
- Reign: Frederick I (1856-1907).
- Year: 1907.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: FRIEDRICH GROSSHERZOG VON BADEN. Reverse: DEUTSCHES REICH · ZWEI MARK · 1907.
- Grade: AU58 (NGC).
Silver coin corresponding to the Grand Duchy of Baden within the German Empire, featuring a mature portrait of Grand Duke Friedrich I facing right, in a realistic and sober style, with good modeling of the hair and beard. The reverse presents the crowned German imperial eagle, with central shield and widely spread wings, displaying a heraldic design of notable visual strength. The reliefs retain good definition for the grade, with slight uniform wear at the highest points, while the fields maintain attractive residual luster and a light, natural patina. A well-balanced specimen, representative of early 20th-century German state issues.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to be absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
