EGYPT. Cairo. 5 milliemes. 1938. Fuad I (1917-1936)
- Value: 5 milliemes.
- Reign: Fuad I (1917-1936)
- Year: 1938 (AH1357).
- Inscriptions: in Arabic, denomination and date on the reverse; name and titles of the monarch on the obverse.
- Grade: MS63 (NGC).
Coin minted in copper-nickel during the reign of Fuad I, corresponding to the monarchical period of the Kingdom of Egypt. The obverse features the bust of King Fuad I looking to the right, with fez and richly detailed military uniform, surrounded by an inscription in Arabic with his name and titles. The reverse shows the denomination “5 milliemes” in the center, accompanied by the date according to the Islamic calendar (AH 1357) and the Gregorian (1938), all framed by peripheral Arabic inscription. A well-centered specimen, with full relief and original mint luster, showing only very fine contact marks consistent with the grade.
