Maldives 10 Laari coin, 1960, coppery alloy with a scalloped edge, first modern series after the constitutional sultanate, graded MS62 by NGC.

MALDIVES. 10 Laari. 1960.
- Face value: 10 Laari.
- Year: 1960 (AH 1379).
- Inscriptions: Obverse: central palm over a half-moon and star, flanked by two national flags, with date 1960 and lower Arabic inscription. Reverse: value 10 in Arabic and Latin characters, surrounded by Arabic inscription with the name of the state.
- Grading: MS62 (NGC).
Copper alloy coin with a wavy shape, belonging to the first modern monetary series of the Maldives after the establishment of the constitutional sultanate. The obverse features a symbolic national composition, with the palm tree as the island emblem and the crescent moon with star of a distinctly Islamic style, all rendered with a solid and well-centered relief. The reverse shows the face value prominently, with clear and balanced typography. A specimen with original patina partially preserved, clean fields and slight surface marks typical of the grade, offering an attractive and uniform appearance.
