Description from the seller
An exceptionally signed copy by Olivo Barbieri in the frontispiece, unique and unattainable elsewhere on the Internet in a signed copy. 136 pages and about 80 photographs in color printed full-page with captions for the photographs and dating at the end of the book, texts in Italian, English and German by Hubertus von Amelunxen, Jon Bird and Paola Tognon. Publisher's clothbound binding with faux-toile texture, title embossed on the cover and back in white lettering and illustrated dust jacket. In excellent condition.
This book was produced on the occasion of an exhibition presented at the Gottardo Gallery in Lugano. It brings together a set of photographs taken mainly in China but also in Japan, India, Italy, Tibet and Egypt.
Olivo Barbieri is an Italian photographer born in 1954 in Emilia. He participated in the major collective project led by Luigi Ghirri, “Viaggio in Italia,” and mainly practices urban photography. After a period focused on artificial lighting in urban areas, he is now known for his effects of miniaturization of the urban landscape obtained through a tilting focus method (tilt‑shift) that gives his photographs the appearance of an artificial scale model.

Shipped protected with reinforced packaging and internationally trackable postal service guaranteed.
