Ex voto - Wood - 1950-1960 - Grace received

A votive offering or grace received from the 20th century, painted in oil on panel. It is (see subject) an offering made by a wayfarer to Saint James for intercession that saved his life from a bridge collapse. A typical object of Italian popular religious devotion, where often the faithful, after a supposed miracle, would commission local painters to make these kinds of works, recounting the gesture or the supposed miracle. The painting measures 30 x 20 cm and bears the date of the supposed miracle, 1899. Due to current regulations it cannot be shipped outside the European Union.
