Nice ancient Egyptian naturalistic faience button scarab.
Naturalistic scarabs were used as part of the amulet set of the mummy.
They have a naturalistically formed belly with a loop for attachment to bandages.

Date: Egypt, Late Period, 26th - 30th Dynasty, circa 664 - 332 B.C.
Material: Faience
Size: ca. 2,2 cm

Provenance: private Dutch Collection, prior to that German estate, formed before 1960
