Antique Venetian Lacquered Trumeau Hand-Painted with Chinoiserie Scenes
Elegant Venetian trumeau lacquered and enriched with a rich chinoiserie decoration, entirely handcrafted with figurative motifs, Oriental landscapes, exotic animals and narrative scenes typical of the 18th-century Venetian artisanal tradition.
The furniture, although inspired by 18th-century models, dates to the 20th century. The upper section features numerous decorated drawers with turned metal handles, all characterized by refined gold polychromy on a black background.
The lower section houses additional drawers, also lacquered and painted with great care, supported by a substantial carved plinth with turned legs and shaped crosspieces that give solidity and momentum to the piece’s line.
