AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Pair of Spanish armchairs from the late 19th or early 20th century, made in solid wood, probably walnut, with a curule structure, crossed legs and a central stretcher. They feature a wavy-profile backrest with relief carving of vegetal motifs and central medallions with heraldic geometric decoration. The arms and lateral uprights are decorated with continuous carved friezes, while the front of the legs is finished with central carved panels of a stylized vegetal design. The seats preserve the original suspension system via a stretched leather frame fixed with visible nails. They come with loose cushions recently restored, made following the traditional system and upholstered in English velvet, with gold piping and fringe. The hardware and joints are original. The restoration consisted of a respectful re-staining, without alterations to profiles or hiding the carving, maintaining the natural grain of the wood. A representative set of historicist furniture transitional between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, of good craftsmanship and attractive decorative character. Solid and stable structure with wear appropriate to age. Total height 80 cm, seat height 45 cm, overall width 60 cm, depth 60 cm. We do not ship outside the EU and not to countries with customs procedures. Shipping will be carried out in two separate packages. The rest of the furniture and decorations are not part of the sale.
