A set of three ceramic vases from Bitossi's Rimini Blu, designed by Aldo Londi in the 1960s–1970s, made in Italy, in good used condition with minor signs of wear and documented chips.
Description from the seller
The offer features an attractive set of three ceramic vases from the famous Rimini Blu series by the Italian manufacturer Bitossi, designed by Aldo Londi. The iconic collection was created in the 1960s and today ranks among the best-known design lines of Italian studio ceramics from the 20th century.
Characteristic of Rimini Blu is the intense, bright glaze in various blue and turquoise tones, which develops a special depth through its vibrant color gradation and the glossy melt effect. The surfaces are decorated with typical geometric relief patterns – including rows of dots, crosses, diamonds, and lines – lending the design a striking texture and reflecting Aldo Londi’s unmistakable style.
The three vases display a clear, architectural form language with a rectangular cross-section and slightly varying heights. Together they form a harmonious ensemble that can be presented as a decorative set or individually for impact. The combination of strong color, tangible surface, and modernist design makes these pieces classic examples of Italian mid-century design.
Bitossi ceramics from the Rimini Blu series are today internationally valued collector’s items and can be found in numerous design collections as well as in style-conscious interiors. This set eloquently embodies the creative energy and craftsmanship of Italian ceramics production in the 1960s and 1970s.
The vases have no cracks. Chips are documented in the photos.
