Description from the seller
Tintin – Swissair Bus from “The Calculus Affair” – Limited Edition 1/43 – MoulinsartDescriptionBeautiful limited-edition scale model of the iconic Swissair bus from Hergé’s album “The Calculus Affair” (L’Affaire Tournesol, 1956). In this episode Tintin, Captain Haddock and Snowy take the Swissair airport bus from Geneva station to the airport, where the famous “sticking plaster” gag takes place – a scene that every Tintin collector remembers. This detailed 1/43 model reproduces the real 1951 Saurer 3 CH panoramic coach used by Swissair in the 1950s, complete with luggage trailer and roof gallery. The removable roof reveals Tintin, Haddock, Snowy, the escort and the other passengers inside, exactly as in the scene from page 45 of the album. The bus was produced as an officially licensed Tintin “cars” series item by Moulinsart in a numbered limited edition of only 12,500 copies worldwide, making it a sought-after piece for serious Tintinophiles. It is not a regular toy but a collectible display model, with metal bodywork and carefully printed Swissair livery and plate details. Because of its direct link to a key comic moment (the plaster gag), its faithful reproduction of a real Swiss coach, and the low worldwide edition, this Swissair bus is a unique opportunity to add an iconic scene from “The Calculus Affair” to your Tintin collection. Ideal for fans of Tintin, Hergé, Swissair history and high-quality 1/43 vehicles. You can then add your own extra lines such as:Condition (sealed, like new, with/without certificate, box condition).Serial/edition number on the base or box.Shipping and packaging details.Would you like a shorter “highlight bullets only” version for people who don’t read long descriptions?
