Description from the seller
Refined 20th-century small cabinet of exquisite craftsmanship, executed in the classic and timeless Louis XV style. This piece of furniture stands out for its sinuous lines and for the elegant bulging central body, which houses three practical stacked drawers. The true peculiarity of the design lies in the two tiers of open side shelves, elements that lighten the structure, imparting movement and offering an ideal space to display small decorative objects. The entire surface of the piece is clad in a luminous burl veneer. The wood grain, arranged mirror-like on the top plane and on the fronts, creates a warm and enveloping color play, framed by delicate moldings. To further enrich the aesthetic value of the work are rich applications in gilded and chiseled bronze. The shaped handles, the majestic floral frieze on the lower apron, the details on the shoulders, and the classic sabot feet harmonize perfectly with the curved shapes of the wood. Supporting the structure are four slender cabriole legs, which confer to the whole a grace and lightness typical of French-inspired cabinetry. This is a piece of furniture with great scenic charm, perfect to enhance a grand entrance, adorn an elegant living room, or serve as a focal element in a refined bedroom.
