Rare Bohemian crystal Prunk bottle (flacon) dating to about 1840, with a deep ruby glass overlay, hand-painted white enamel flowers in the Biedermeier style, a stopper with a gilded star-cut top, and a handwritten ground number 22 on the base; height 19 cm, diameter 7 cm, weight 197 g, Bohemia origin, good condition with minor aging signs and no chips or cracks.

Rare Biedermeier Prunk-Karaffe – Bohemian Ruby Glass from around 1840
Authentic collectible from the Biedermeier era. This small carafe (flacon) is an exquisite example of Bohemian glassmaking in the mid-19th century. Made from finest crystal glass with a deep red ruby glass overlay.
• Decor: Classical Biedermeier ornamentation with hand-painted white enamel painting in the form of floral sprigs (Lily-of-the-Valley style). The neck is adorned with two distinctive glass rings (wulsten).
• Special feature: The original stopper is present and bears a gilded star-cut on the top. On the bottom there is a contemporary handwritten numbering ("22").
• Condition: Well preserved for its age. The glass shows no chips or cracks. There are noticeable gold wear (Berieb) at the edges and in the decor as well as some age-related scratches on the surface, which underscore the authentic patina of great age. Bottom side with handwritten numeral "22".
