Round black marble top with inlays of hard stones in an antique-inspired design, diameter about 61 cm, 2.5 cm thick, no base, Italian origin, late 20th century, weight 20 kg, condition good with minor age marks.
Description from the seller
Important black marble piano from Belgium, inlays of hard and semi-precious stones (malachite, lapis lazuli, agate, ...) made in the late 1990s. The table was created drawing inspiration from Florentine Renaissance tables, preserved at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence. It represents a fruit basket with flowers, supported by a festoon on which birds perch, accompanied by butterflies.
The top was made specifically for an important villa in the province of Pistoia, Tuscany. It has never been used, and remained wrapped for years; the crate that contained it was opened to take photos.
The table shows minor signs that do not compromise its overall beauty.
The top is round, with a diameter of about 61 cm.
It has a thickness of about 2.5 cm and a rounded edge.
The bottom of the top is NOT polished; small chips are not visible from the top side.
The top has no base of any kind (no legs).
The table can be viewed in person in Pistoia.
If purchasing, direct pickup (Pistoia, Tuscany) is possible, or shipment can be arranged.
The cost of packing and shipping within Italy is 150.00 Euro insured; within Europe it is 250.00 Euro insured. Other locations should be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Any customs duties, import/export fees, or other costs related to export/import are at the buyer's expense.
