AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Rare bi-colored vase in relief, with zaffera glaze, Umbrian or Tuscan manufacture. Ribbon handles, body slightly flared at the center, neck truncated-conical with a shaped rounded rim. The color nuances range from cobalt blue to turquoise and to violet: these are the tones of Umbrian-Tuscan zaffera, different from the Emiliano-Romagnolo pale blue and from the dark, dense shade of Alto Lazio. The front rectangular panel highlights the conventual character of the piece, which is evident above all from the fish painted in zaffera, a traditional Christological symbol. Additionally to the right is the stylization of Christ on the cross in manganese brown. On the back, at the center of another rectangular panel, we find the letter K, the initial of Christ (K for Ch). The ornament consists of scrolls and leaves. Dimensions: cm 17x11. Conditions: chippings and a hairline crack, which however do not diminish the object's charm. The photos attest to its state of preservation. SHIPPING ONLY TO UE.
