Description from the seller

Rare set of 6 mouth-blown crystal flûte glasses with stems depicting Manneken Pis, also known as the "Bacco" or "French Nude" chalice. These are collectible items, not available commercially because the Bayel glassworks factory was destroyed by a fire more than 50 years ago, along with the molds. As you can see, these six glasses are in excellent condition. The base and the glass are clear crystal, in contrast with the satin-finished stem, which is unmarked. The depiction of Manneken Pis is stunning and faithful to the original. French crystal works founded in 1666 by master glassmaker Jean-Baptiste Mazzolay, with the authorization of King Louis XIV, the Royal Crystal of Champagne in Bayel was a unique site in the Côte des Bar region of Champagne. Closed since 2016, the Crystal Museum and the Glassworks continue the history of this factory. Origin: France, popular between 1960 and 1970. Size: height 21 cm x diameter 7 cm.
