Two pieces switchboard plus connection cable
To be able to operate the turnouts and signals with a self-built control panel, Märklin launched the switchboard in the Märklin Digital system. The switchboard is a somewhat less well-known component of the "Märklin Digital" program. With the switchboard, a total of 16 turnouts or signals can be controlled. However, the feedback is not linked to an actual feedback message from the controlled item.
The switchboard can control 4 groups of 4 turnouts or signals at a time, which are connected to the same K83 decoder or K84 decoder. The addresses 1 through 4 correspond to the 4 outputs of the 1st decoder, 5 through 8 to the 2nd decoder, and so on.
