This hand-knotted Oriental rug in the classic Täbriz design features an intricately adorned composition with a central medallion and dense floral ornamentation.

The interior field is rendered in a rich red tone and is dominated by a striking light-colored medallion in the center. Around this center, numerous stylized blossoms, scrolls and ornamental elements unfold, arranged symmetrically to give the rug a lively yet harmonious structure.

The corner spandrels pick up the light tones of the medallion and visually connect with the floral pattern of the field. The surrounding border is dark and designed with floral motifs, creating a clear frame and further emphasizing the color effect of the interior field.
