This hand-knotted Oriental rug in the classic Isfahan design features a very fine floral composition with a large central medallion and densely worked tendril ornaments.

The light beige field is dominated by a richly worked medallion in rose and blue tones. From this center, numerous sweeping tendrils, palmettes and floral elements unfold, symmetrically distributing across the entire field. Such floral arabesques with a central medallion are typical of Isfahan rugs and are among the best-known classic Persian rug compositions.

The wide border is rendered in warm red and rose tones and designed with finely drawn flower tendrils. Several narrow side borders frame the inner field and give the rug an elegant, balanced structure.
