With a nominal power of 40 W per channel, which is just the minimum, it would be around 50 W per channel or more. Akai gave them a low power rating, leaving room if you need more power.

This amplifier has a very full sound and solid bass. And what can I say about the tuner, classic style and the sound is rich and complete. The knobs and switches have a professional feel. The photos are part of the description.

The equipment consists of two separate units:
Tuner: The higher-end model is the Akai AM/FM stereo tuner AT-2450. Lights were changed to green LEDs, it looks stunning when dimmed.
Amplifier: The lower model is the Akai AM-2400 integrated stereo amplifier.
Both devices were manufactured by Akai in the late 1970s to early 1980s.
