AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

An extremely rare Baccarat onyx black vase with enameled flowers, and signed Vesques (Felix Vesques) in a red Japanese inspired seal script on the side

This model was presented at the Exposition des Arts decoratifs et Industriels moderne in Paris in 1925
(See image no. 2)

The silver rims hallmarked with Minerva head for .950 silver and silver makers mark of Maison Bloch Eschwége active from 1921-1946 which dates this vase right on the period. Maison Bloch did quite a lot of silver mounting for Baccarat, often on carafes and perfume bottles. This suggest the silver mount was ordered by Baccarat and not mounted at a later stage.

Baccarat created a limited edition of 99 vases of this model in 2001 under the name Memoire. This model however had blue and silver enamel leaves instead
