These devices are equipped with Sennheiser HDX noise suppression system. HDX reduces transmission disturbances. It increases the signal-to-noise ratio in wireless transmission up to 110 dB.
HDX is a wideband compander system that compresses the transmitter’s BF level at a 2:1 ratio (in dB) and expands it again in a mirror-like fashion at the receiver. This system substantially reduces transmission issues.
HDX was developed for wireless transmission applications in studios and on stage and has been patented by Sennheiser.
The “True Diversity” method uses two antennas and therefore two independent receiving circuits. The antennas are placed in different locations. Through electronic comparison inside the receiver, the BF channel is always switched to the receiving circuit with the stronger RF signal. The probability that two simultaneous field-strength drops occur on both antennas is extremely low.
