Enameled cast iron roasting dish – Cousances / Le Creuset – France – No. 28 – 1960s–1970s

Authentic enameled cast iron roasting dish from Cousances, a historic French manufacturer now integrated into Le Creuset, a world reference for enameled cast iron cookware.

Founded in the 19th century in Haute-Marne, the Cousances company produced high-quality pieces that later joined the Le Creuset universe in the 1950s. These French productions from the 1960s–1970s are today sought after for their robustness and traditional craftsmanship.

Enameled cast iron offers excellent heat diffusion and retention, ideal for roasts and gratins. Durable and practically inexhaustible, this type of cookware often lasts through several generations of family kitchens.
