This Denon DRS-640 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B/C and HX-Pro noise reduction; it was first sold by Denon in 1993 with a suggested price of USD 300.
The main features of the Denon DRS-640 are:
Two heads, a four-digit digital tape counter, automatic tape type selection and suitable for normal, chrome, and metal tapes, belt-driven transport with a single capstan.
Typical front-loading cassette compartment on the left side of the deck.
Tape loading/unloading is motorized, and the cassette must be placed horizontally in the drawer.
The level meters used on the DRS-640 are general digital peak meters.
Fully integrated transport controls on the DRS-640 allow for responsive operation.
All major transport commands can be issued remotely with a wireless remote control; see photos for the condition.
