Description of the lot
A very old closure/latch, more than 200 years old, originating from a smithy. Possibly from a bargueño, a type of Spanish writing desk; patina and some rust have developed due to age, but they are fully intact and function well. The spring mechanism works properly and they are large, each measuring 19.5 cm long x 11 cm wide x 5 cm deep.
