Description from the seller
A classic lens with an LTM-39 thread.
The Leica L39, commonly referred to as the Leica Thread Mount (LTM), is a 39mm diameter lens mount standard introduced by Leitz for their rangefinder cameras, with the screw-thread system becoming standard in 1930. It defined the industry standard for rangefinder cameras until the 1970s.
Soviet cameras, such as the FED and early Zorki, adopted this mount, albeit early models.
All that lenses with an adapter, are often used on mirrorless cameras when seeking classic, beautiful images "with soul," distinct from today's overly perfect reproductions, as well as lightweight, compact, and handy lenses. Focus is, of course, manual.
The FED / Industar I-61 2.8/52 is one such lens.
It features a solid construction made of metal and glass. The unit offered is in very good visual and technical condition.
There's no haze, mold, fungus, or scratches. Of course, there are some dust particles,, but that's standard for old lenses and doesn't affect image quality.
It produces beautifully sharp images. The front cap is not original.
I've taken many photos with it, using a Voigtländer Bessa R2 camera with an L-M adapter. The last photo is taken with this lens on the film.
Thank you for your consideration, and I invite you to view the auction.
