Decorative silver heraldic brooch featuring the Portuguese Royal Coat of Arms. The piece is richly decorated with the crowned national shield of Portugal, surrounded by ornamental scrollwork in a baroque style.
Portugal assay mark (1938-1984), 833/000, and same date marker's mark.
The central shield displays the five quinas and castles of the Portuguese coat of arms, symbolizing the historic royal arms of Portugal. On each side there are small decorative elements resembling historic Portuguese coins, adding further historical character to the design.
