Description from the seller
Vintage Leather Work Jacket – Engineering / Denison – 70s
Authentic vintage leather work jacket from the 1970s, made for industrial and corporate use, belonging to the classic world of American workwear. It is a work jacket distributed to company employees, characterized by original patches that tell its story.
On the chest there is the patch “Denison – 4000 Injury Free Shifts”, a typical corporate recognition awarded to workers for long periods of accident-free work. On the sleeve we find the patch “Engineering”, indicative of the company’s technical or engineering department. These details make the garment an authentic example of American corporate vintage workwear.
The jacket is made of extremely thick, high-quality leather, typical of 1970s productions, when workwear was built to last and withstand tough industrial conditions. The leather shows a beautiful natural patina due to age and use, a feature highly appreciated in vintage.
Internally we find a quilted lining, designed to ensure insulation and durability during use in working environments. The internal label reads Export Leather Garments Ltd. – Made in Canada, another indication of the garment’s North American production.
The jacket is equipped with an original YKK zipper, front oblique pockets and a button snap closure on the collar, all functional details typical of work jackets of the era.
