This model is made in Western Germany by the famous manufacturer of anatomical models, Somso.
Vintage SOMSO-Plast anatomical torso model, produced by the German company SOMSO (Marcus Sommer), founded in 1876. The proprietary SOMSO-Plast material was developed in the 1930s and became the standard material for the company’s highly detailed teaching models.. Previously, plaster was used in general.
The organs, head and brain of the torso are removable in 11 parts.
The model is complete and there are no missing parts!
The model comes from a school where it was used for teaching in biology classes, some signs of aging but in general it is in excellent condition. Dimensions of the wooden plate are approx. 20 x 12 cm. The height is 52 cm.
