Description from the seller
Beautiful lot of vintage Japanese kitchen knives, consisting of three different blades: a nakiri, a petty knife and a kogatana. Together they form a practical and versatile set for various cutting tasks in the kitchen.
The nakiri knife (total length about 28 cm) is the classic Japanese vegetable knife with a straight blade, ideal for quickly and precisely slicing and chopping vegetables. The broad blade provides a stable cutting motion and makes it easy to scoop up chopped ingredients.
Additionally the lot includes a petty knife (about 23 cm), a slim and maneuverable kitchen knife that is excellent for precision work such as trimming vegetables, fruit and smaller pieces of meat or fish.
The third knife is a kogatana (about 19 cm), a small traditional Japanese knife that is often used for fine slicing and detail work. Thanks to the narrow tip this knife offers a lot of control for precise tasks.
The knives are in used vintage condition with visible signs of use, which suits their age and use. They bear Japanese characters on the blade and have an authentic look that is typical for traditional Japanese kitchen equipment.
An interesting and characterful lot for lovers of Japanese kitchen knives, chefs or collectors of vintage kitchen tools.
