Description from the seller

Processional cross in silvered metal of Coptic Christian faith from the 20th century, depicting on one side Saint George slaying the dragon and on the reverse a Crucifixion enriched with other figures at the sides and on the handle. The Coptic Catholic Church is one of the Oriental Catholic Churches, having separated from the Coptic Orthodox Church and in communion with the Church of Rome. I think it originates from the Horn of Africa and is mounted on a wooden base. It measures 38 x 14 x 2 cm.
