This Diplomático Single Vintage Rum is made from a selection of exceptional reserve rums. The rums are distilled separately in old copper pot stills and batch kettles, then aged in bourbon and single malt casks, which give the rums their exceptional characteristics.
Once the aging process is complete, the master rum-maker blends the rum to achieve the desired structure, body, personality, flavors and aromas. Finally, the rum is placed in Spanish sherry casks for a year to obtain the final character required.
Color: amber.
Nose: aromas of tobacco leaf, spices, vanilla and caramel, combined with hints of almonds and dried fruit.
Palate: rich, silky and incredibly complex. Notes of spice, vanilla, oak, dried apricots and fruitcake. Soft and round, with a very long finish.
