Description from the seller
This shelf is a characterful piece of furniture from the 1970s with a newly executed, stylistically coherent redesign.
The cabinet consists of glossy veneered wood and displays a warm, uniform grain. The construction is stable and sturdy. Age- and use-related signs of wear in the form of small scratches are present and correspond to the age of the furniture.
The back panel has been redesigned and given a graphic composition in yellow, blue, orange, green, and black. Diagonal lines, diamonds, and geometric elements echo the design language of the 1970s and give the shelf a clear art-object character. The design is intentionally high-contrast, yet harmoniously integrated into the wood texture.
The shelf stands on newly attached, period-typical legs, oriented to classic mid-century proportions. The legs are yellow lacquered, slim in form, and emphasize the light overall impression.
An individual one-off piece that combines functional furniture with a graphic design object.
