Thuya wood marquetry domino box, artisanal craftsmanship, entirely handmade - 20th century.

Elegant domino box made entirely by hand in thuya wood, a wood sought after for its speckled grain that is particularly decorative.
The lid features a superb symmetrical marquetry design, composed of inlaid strips and stylized motifs, evidence of meticulous artisanal work.

The box is entirely veneered in thuya, including the interior of the lid, providing a beautiful continuity of the wood's natural grain.
The interior is arranged with a compartment for storing the domino game.

It comes with its old dominoes, probably made of bone or composite material with black inlays.
Note: the set is incomplete, one domino is missing.

This game box is a fine example of 20th-century artisanal work, both decorative and functional.
