This handwoven Oriental rug displays a classic Turkmen design from Afghanistan, whose bold geometric ornamentation and traditional color scheme give it a powerful and distinctive presence.

The central field is held in a deep red tone with dark brown- black nuances and is characterized by a regular structure of stylized Turkmen Gül motifs. These Gül appear in a hexagonal form and are symmetrically arranged across the field. The motifs are rendered with red, dark, and slightly brownish accents and contain small geometric ornaments inside, creating a rhythmic and typical Turkmen pattern.

The side areas of the rug are framed by wider ornamental fields that showcase geometric diamond and band motifs. These appear in red, dark brown, and small yellowish accents and form a decorative transition to the border.

The surrounding border displays traditional geometric ornamental bands with recurring patterns in red, dark, and cream tones. Several narrow auxiliary borders with linear geometric elements reinforce the structure and harmoniously frame the central field.

Through the combination of vivid red, strong contrasts, and the regular Gül structure, the rug has a very typical Turkmen appearance and a decorative effect.
