This hand-knotted oriental rug displays a classic Ghom design with a Tree of Life motif from India, characterized by its detailed portrayal of plants, animals, and birds, giving it a particularly decorative and narrative appeal.

The field is in a light cream to natural beige tone, serving as the stage for an artfully arranged Tree of Life motif that stretches centrally across the entire field. The tree unfolds numerous curved branches with leaves, blossoms, and small ornaments, rendered in blue, reddish-brown, green, and beige-gold shades.

Between the branches appear numerous animals and birds, lending the rug a lively and symbolic impact. Among others, peacocks, deer, birds, and other animal depictions are symmetrically integrated into the tree. Especially the two peacocks at the lower part of the Tree of Life form a decorative focal point of the motif.

The lower part of the field shows a stylized landscape zone with gentle hills depicted in yellowish, gray, and beige tones, underscoring the rug’s natural motif.
