Vintage Tin Tea and Trinket Boxes with Onion Pattern Porcelain (c. 1970)
Description:
Beautiful set of two tin boxes with porcelain lids, executed in the iconic cobalt blue Zwiebelmuster (onion pattern). The round and the oval box are made of solid tin with a nice patina and authentically inlaid porcelain.
Dimensions:
Round: 12 x 8 cm
Oval: 13 x 10 x 8.5 cm
Period: Approx. 1960–1980 (Mid-Century Vintage)
Material: Tin with porcelain
Details: Round lid marked with model number 816
Condition:
Both boxes in good vintage condition.
Round box: light yellow patina on the bottom, hinge and inner rim of the lid; small dull spots typical for tin.
Oval box: similar light patina and small dull spots as described above.
Porcelain red box has a small defect, see photos
