Monumental antique gilded mirror with putto – ca. 1880–1910 – Baroque/Rococo revival.
Very large and richly decorated antique mirror, presumably crafted around the end of the 19th century (ca. 1880–1910), in Baroque/Rococo revival style. The wooden frame features refined ornamentation with garlands and a sculptural top ornament with putto, resting on a vase-shaped pedestal.
The gilding has a warm, authentic patina with light wear on the prominent parts, appropriate to the age and character of the object. The construction at the rear and the ornament work point to artisanal manufacture and age. This is a decorative centerpiece with a monumental appearance, suitable as a floor or wall mirror.
A rare eye-catcher for collectors, lovers of antique items and high-end interiors.
