Cristalleria Empoli - Drinking set (6) - Crystal

Set of 6 long drink glasses enhanced with a mount in solid silver marked 331 Fi (Firenze) 800 of pure silver, handcrafted on a lathe with utmost care. The rim is obtained by rotating the silver sheet onto itself and folded under the base of the glass; this was done to skillfully reinforce the entire mount so that it is integral with the body of the glass. Aesthetically as well, the glass presents a sober, elegant line and is incised with a stylized flower motif. From the punch, stamped on the silver part, it is evident that the glasses were made between 09/01/1959 and 31/12/1971 by the Florentine silversmith and craftsman Giuliano Mazzini, and the transparent crystal produced by Empoli crystal works.
